While trying to think of ideas for the word bravery I decided to pretend what it would be like if I were a pair of jeans. What would I be afraid of, what is a hardship I would have to face? Then, it came to me. I would be most worried while I am being created. Being torn apart and put back together by sewing machines and scissors is very scary to anyone who is afraid of needles and other sharp objects. I wince and maybe even tear up from one shot, I couldn’t imagine what it would be like to have my body placed under a sewing machine getting continuously stabbed as I am being constrained and slowly fed through the machine. Could you handle it?
Being brave is a unique personality trait that only comes when someone decides to stand up and face something that would make others shy away from in fear. It could be deciding one day to fly your own airplane and taking it to the next level by nose diving and rotating through the sky in acrobatic stunts, or it could be venturing out into the open alone without knowing what may lay ahead for you if you continue to proceed. Bravery will come to you if you go against the normal, or maybe we could use an older term for it…bravery comes when you go against the grain.
